Seldom before noon or after nine, Red:30 is the precise time of day when one decides to uncork a bottle of red, preferably a Cabernet or a nice dry blend. It’s also the name of a bluesy country female duo from Nashville, comprised of lead vocalist Hollie Brogunier and guitarist/pianist “Drop” Dee Draeger. Their music sounds like the love child of Miranda Lambert, Heart and the Indigo Girls.

​Hollie and Dee met through a mutual friend and performed together for several years in another band called The Red Wine Effect. When a founding member moved away in 2018, the band went on indefinite hiatus. The two women continued to write occasionally over the next two years, always armed with a guitar, a laptop and a bottle of red. Toward the end of 2019, they felt they had hit a sweet spot with their songwriting. There was a newfound energy whenever they got together and they started to consider the possibility of forming a band. When COVID-19 came to the U.S in early 2020, they decided to focus on recording their first EP which is set to be released in the spring of 2021. They are hopeful that the new year will allow them to progress to full-band status and start touring. Until then, they will be doing online performances and writing new music. And drinking red wine of course!
